Water Hyacinth Story

Water hyacinth is a naturally green product and no harmful chemicals are used to process the plant - a great new environmentally friendly material, which also generates income for local farming families.Since inspiring that first armchair Wong-pee have come a long way and are now able to produce over 100 different designs in three colours most of which are held in stock locally at our warehouse. This Wong-pee collection is so versatile that it can be specified into both domestic and commercial schemes whether traditional or contemporary. All of our designs have an authentication plate and serial number to ensure our clients are able to spot imitations easily.

Maintenance/Cleaning

Water Hyacinth is so durable that it can be vacuumed for dust or for major spills please follow these instructions.

1. Remove all upholstery

2. Wash the furniture using a mild soap, lukewarm water and a soft cloth

3. Use a nylon brush to remove dry food or mud etc

4. A paint thinner can be used to remove tougher stains

5. Place the furniture outside or in a drying room to dry

Special Notes: Water Hyacinth is a natural hand dyed material and colour variations are part of it's beauty. Chocolate and Charcoal coloured Water Hyacinth is a stained natural product and colours may vary. We accept no responsibility for any colour variation or fading. The standard 100% cotton cushion covers can be removed for cleaning on a 30 degree wash or alternatively dry cleaned.
